I was always taught to be humble when it came to business accomplishments and self-promotion.

I remembered when I started my Event and Decoration Consultancy Business. Considering it’s a terrain with lots of competitors, I go out for marketing, which I still do and while doing that I ensure everyone I come across I politely discuss my business with them and give them my complementary card. I say thank you, smile and I don’t boast.

I’ve had to learn how to appreciate people while still being my own advocate. When it comes time for a job

If you’re not thrilled with your current work situation, chances are you've probably discussed your options with family or friends. You may have even confided in your co-workers. But there’s probably one person you haven’t run it by: your boss.
Whether you’re unhappy in your present position or simply seeking new challenges, you may be wondering if sharing your feelings with your immediate supervisor would be more helpful or harmful. Will the company vie to keep you?
You may never know, but here are a few things to consider.

One of the questions I get asked frequently is how to track comments on Instagram. If you have an active Instagram account with numerous and frequent notifications, staying on top of your comments can be difficult.
Within the Instagram app, you will only see your latest 75 notifications. So, if you have an active account, and receive a lot of likes, comments, and new followers, you can easily lose track of your audience’s comments.
Fortunately, there are three tools that I want to tell you about that can help you monitor your comments on Instagram.

1.    Iconosquare.

Iconosquare formerly called Statigram for Instagram stats and information on your account. It is a free desktop tool and gives you a ton of insight to see success with your Instagram strategy.

But it also allows you to manage and monitor your Instagram account. And if you go to the “Manage” tab at the top of the page, you can see all the latest comments on your posts. The notification bubble will also show you how many “new” comments you have.

The best companies to work in 2014. Boston-based consulting giant Bain & Co. finds itself at the top of several prestigious rankings. It holds the No. 2 spot on Vault’s Consulting 50; it has been named the Best Firm to Work For by Consulting magazine for eleven consecutive years; it ranks among the Human Rights Campaign’s Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality 2013; and today Bain was named the best company to work for in 2014.

Online jobs and career community Glassdoor has just unveiled its sixth annual Employees’ Choice Awards, which is a list of the 50 best places to work in the coming year.
Unlike most workplace-related awards, which require companies to self nominate, the Employees’ Choice Award rely solely on the input of employees who anonymously provide feedback through a survey. The survey goes only to employees in the U.S., but many of the companies have workers around the world.
The ranking of the top companies was determined by taking cumulative average ratings from the half-million employees who responded to the 18-question survey between Nov. 14, 2012 and Nov. 12, 2013. The survey asks employees to rate their satisfaction with their company overall and key workplace factors, such as career opportunities, compensation and benefits, work-life balance, senior management, culture and values.
“Choosing where to go work is one of the most stressful decisions a person can make, and it’s natural for people to want more information so they can make better career decisions,” says Glassdoor spokesperson Samantha Zupan. “Being recognized by employees as a ‘Best Place to Work’ is no small achievement. The companies on our list are being honored as it’s a reflection of their commitment to employees to create a positive and enjoyable workplace.”

Zupan says the Employees’ Choice Awards help give job seekers insight into the companies that keep employees satisfied year round. “Finding a job you love is tough work but with feedback from people on the inside, it can make the job search process easier,” she explains.

It is important you have an understanding of what SEO can do for you as a blogger. If you write a blog, run a website, or pretty much do anything online, you know about the value of SEO (Search Engine Optimization if you don’t know what we’re talking about). Quite simply, SEO is how you get found online. And in a highly saturated online world, finding your content online is more complicated than finding a needle in a haystack. In fact, it’s as hard as finding your content online.

It amazing the rate at which employees complain about their bosses after they start working, to some their experience is positive while some are terribly negative so it is important that you run a potential check on your boss before you accept the offer. During interview for a new job, most of us are pretty good about analyzing the responsibilities, the company culture, the growth opportunities, the commute and so on. But I've noticed there's one thing that many people tend to gloss over: who, exactly, we'd be reporting to in the position.
And while maybe your boss isn't the most important factor in whether or not to sign on for a new gig, I'd argue that it's pretty darn high up on the list. If you've ever had a great boss (or a bad one), you know the impact that person has on your promotion prospects, your assignments, and your day-to-day happiness.
