The Rivers State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Samson Parker, says the late Dr. Samuel Enemou, who treated Olu Koye, a Nigerian diplomat with the Economic Community of West African States, was aware that the diplomat was a carrier of the deadly Ebola virus.

Boko Haram
 The LEADER of the terrorist Islamic sect, Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, has declared Gwoza town in Borno State that was seized by his men last Thursday as an Islamic caliphate.

Abubakar Shekau announced the declaration that Gwoza had become an Islamic caliphate in a video obtained by the Agence France-Press on Sunday.

The terrorist also vowed that his group would not leave the town.

“Thanks be to Allah who gave victory to our brethren in the town of Gwoza and made it part of the Islamic caliphate. By the grace of Allah, we will not leave the town. We have come to stay,” Shekau said in the 52-minute video.

500 exceptional young leaders from Africa on July 28, 2014, gathered in Washington DC  in front of, President Obama announced the renaming of the Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders in honor of Nelson Mandela. He also announced that the United States intends to double the number of annual participants in the Mandela Washington Fellowship to 1000 by the summer of 2016.

The President of Federal Republic of Nigeria and Senate President finally meet the Chibok girls Parents Ninety-nine days after their children and wards were abducted in a midnight raid on their school, President Goodluck Jonathan, on Tuesday met with parents of the girls abducted from Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State on April 14.
Journalists were barred from covering the meeting which was held inside the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
That was contrary to a statement released last week by the Presidency, saying the parley would be “open to the media for coverage by Nigerian and international press.”

 The Impeached Governor of Adamawa State Murtala Nyako has been declared wanted by The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Investigations revealed that the leadership of the commission decided to declare Nyako wanted after he failed to honour the commission’s invitations after his removal from office.
It was further gathered that Nyako has evaded arrest as operatives detailed to arrest him after his removal from office by the House of Assembly has not sighted him since then.
The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, told one of our correspondents in a telephone interview in Abuja, on Tuesday that the commission took the decision to declare Nyako wanted because he had been elusive.
“Since Nyako, was removed, he has been elusive. So the commission has devised a strategy to declare him wanted.
“The commission is planning to declare him wanted,” Uwujaren said.
In response, Nyako said he was not surprised neither was he disturbed about the decision to hound him because he would not be the first person to be so hounded by men in power.
